Telemedicine ("tel-e-med-i-cine") is a new reality in our world of healthcare. It is the remote diagnosis and treatment of clients by way of technology.
In my office, I am incorporating new, HIPAA-protected video conferencing (similar to Zoom calls except confidential and encrypted) with new clients, AND returning clients who I have not seen since before COVID-19.
This is working very well, and it is even kind of FUN!
How it works:
Before your scheduled in-office appointment, we will also schedule a video call, which will last up to 1 hour (new clients), or up to 30 minutes (returning clients). Then, when you arrive for your Acupuncture appointment, if there is nothing new to report, we are ready for you to get on the table and relaaaaaxxxxxx....
If you opt for Telemedicine ONLY, without an Acupuncture treatment, we will have a video call for up to 60 minutes (new clients) and up to 45 minutes (returning clients).
Telemedicine allows me to properly screen everyone for potential exposure, and reduce the time that we spend talking in-office. Experts are saying this helps reduce potential emissions of viral particles into the air, thus reducing viral load potential in our Healing Center. This helps protect you, me, and other clients.
Telemedicine is also great for those who do not wish to receive Acupuncture, but just want a consultation for Herbal Medicine.
And, most importantly if you have had exposure to COVID-19, or you are at high risk with a compromised system in some way, it is advised that you opt for Telemedicine.
(I am not currently seeing clients in-office if they have had direct exposure to COVID-19, or have had any symptoms within the last 2 months. I am ONLY seeing these clients remotely).
I am offering Telemedicine to anyone, in town or other places.
And after consultation, I am happy to ship Herbal Medicine directly to you.
