New comic out now: The Phantom #1887

Hi folks!

Paul here. Just quickly, not the first "official" newsletter as I had that planned for March. But, since there's a few of you here already, just wanted to say "thank you!" for signing on, and hope you are well.

Just a quick message to say The Phantom #1887 is out today in newsagents, select Coles supermarkets and comic stores in Australia. It has a back cover by me, and a short story I wrote and drew with The Phantom titled "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?"; this is another story that is part of a series of stories with the character caught up in the Vietnam War. More here:

To be honest, I was surprised I got away with this one unchanged, touching on a horrific event from the War, and touching a little on what makes the character tick.

Or at least that was my intent.

Big thank you to Amanda Bacchi, credited for her editorial assistance, making sure my words make actual sense to English-speaking human beings. Great job!

The comic will set you back a whopping $3.75 in your local store, which was what little Paulie use to pay for Spider-man comics after school in 1994...go figure!

oooorrrr you can order online at Frew here:

It will soon be a digital release on Comixology too, I'll shoot that link out in the newsletter next month.

And if you're new here, I *finally* have the automated thank you emails working, because I'm a e-commerce dunce. So here's the original message that new subscribers will see:

"Thank you for visiting masoncomics.com.au and signing up for our newsletters!

We aim to touch base about once or twice a month with the latest comic news and things, so stay tuned..."

Cheers again, tell your comic friends to subscribe too, and will see you next month :D
As you were,

Paul.
