National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and Children

Did you know that the Australian Government is developing the next National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children? Your views are essential to shaping the plan to reduce family, domestic and sexual violence in Australia.​They want to hear from family safety advocates, organisations, people with lived experience of violence, researchers, service providers, frontline first responders, businesses, state and local governments and the general public.

 

The opportunity for public consultation closes this week, on 31st July 2021.

Three decades of research: the case for comprehensive sex education

Journal of Adolescent Health, 2021

 

Check out this recent journal article that clearly summarises the protective benefits of school-based relationships and sexuality education. Findings are based upon thirty years worth of international evidence.

 

"Attention to the full range of sexual health topics, scaffolded across grades, embedded in supportive school environments and across subject areas, has the potential to improve sexual, social, and emotional health and academic outcomes for young people".
