There is a whole lot of news here. So much has happened over the last three months. Hope you get some time to enjoy it all! |

All four of my Favourite Bolivian family came to visit! Having Cristian and Alejandra living and Volunteering at Casa Segura is fantastic, but then to have Yesenia and David come, completes the Diamond Family. It was definitely an amazing and fun visit; I have known this family now over 20 years, since my first week in Bolivia, they were just young kids then. What a blessing to have with them together, even if it was only for a short time. |

Great news for Casa Segura! We now have "Starlink Satellite Internet". This is a great advantage for the children, who now will be able to access online classes, and also will be a huge help with their studies, work and homework. |

We always have a great variety of visitors passing through our backyard. Some more unexpected than others, but still a blessing. This time we had a visit from Arney, one of our many local resident armadillos, better known as (Tatú) here in the Amazon. |

August 6 in Bolivia is Independence Day, even though the whole month is set aside for celebrating. So all the schools across the country go out to march in parades. A very patriotic day for all the kids of Casa Segura as they get to March through town. |

Our local church just continues to grow, which fills us all with joy. It's great to always meet new people that share the same faith and love of Jesus. It's also a blessing for the kids to be constantly surrounded by people of faith. The children and teenagers are always participating in all of the activities, dancing, acting, and as shown in these photos, singing! |

Also two young ladies who are part of our church, came out to Casa Segura one afternoon to make brownies with the kids. They had a great time and of course after making a huge mess, got to eat them. Thank you Mariana and Julie, they were delicious. |

As Cinthia is coming to the end of her final year at UNI, she has to make her final presentation in educational sciences (Her Thesis). This is the last step in finishing her four-year degree, that now is only couple of months away. We are so proud of her. Here she is shown receiving congratulations from her teachers for all her effort and good work. |

Our beautiful Elida is also almost graduating! On the 6th of August she to got to parade with her whole class, (Class of 2024) in the town plaza. I am so very proud of Elida, because she has decided that after finishing school, she will go to study, and serve God, at a "Ministerial Training Centre" in Argentina. This has been a long time dream of hers and she is so excited and so scared to take such a huge step into her future. Please keep her in your prayers, as she will need heaps of courage and financial support to achieve her dream. |

Look at this beautiful place! A piece of paradise in the middle of the jungle. A very ambitious guy has spent years making a tropical beach just down the road from Casa Segura. It's called "Palmas Verde" (Green Palms) close to our neighbouring town of Guayará, right on the border of Brazil. What an amazing day during the school holidays as we all got to spend a day out relaxing, swimming and eating great food. GOD is good! |
|
|
If your wondering why I'm looking older, well it's because it is driving lesson time for our young teens. Not an easy day for any "Dad" that has to eventually teach their kids to drive. PLEASE PRAY!! |

This amazing lady Marisol visiting us from Guayará, came to bless our girls with her amazing talent (hairdresser). So all the girls had their hair cut in our "makeshift salon" in the backyard. They were pretty happy about how it turned out. So please come back to visit us soon Marisol. |

Delicious food always brings smiles to the kids faces! Another fun outing for the school holidays was when we got to eat ice cream. This is where Michael one of our boys works part time while studying Accounting at Uni. The other photo is of us enjoying "TOBBY" burgers! Wow I don't know how many years I have waited to get some real FAST FOOD in Riberalta, but TOBBY's have saved the day. |

Many will know that the fires in the Amazon have been burning out of control for some weeks now. Millions of hectares of Jungle have been lost. Within all nine states of Bolivia fires have been burning out of control for over three weeks. Unfortunately, this has brought so much smoke into our town and all flights to and from Riberalta have been canceled as well as the kids classes, it's been nearly a month. Please pray for South America as so many countries are in the same situation. The photos are showing how thick the smoke has been all month. |

This is own of our long awaited projects achieved! The roof of our old Office/Clinic now visitor housing has been replaced. Now our visitors can rest at the end of the day in peace knowing that it won't be rain on their bed, and the bats won't be flying around all night while trying to sleep. Thank you soooooo much to the person responsible in donating to making this happen. |
|
|
Fun night out! All our teens got to go to their first music concert. "ROJO" is a well-known Mexican Christian band. They came all the way from Mexico to Riberalta to give the kids an amazing first time experience at a live concert. Pretty big deal for this part of the world. |

You can help us by praying for: Rains that help put out the fires, and thus reduce smoke pollution. Our children who are finishing school season Health for the children at home The new projects
