Nolo Consulting Becomes mano-Y-ola,

an Homage to its Diversity

Company with Solid Character and Dependable Results Embraces a New Image

Raleigh, North Carolina —With the beginning of the new year, Nolo Consulting, LLC, changed its name to mano-Y-ola, LLC, to reflect its renewed vision and multicultural workforce. mano-Y-ola, meaning “hand and wave” in Spanish, speaks to the positive ripple effect this company seeks to have in everything it touches, amongst its clients and its team.

According to the company’s founder, Dr. Nolo Martinez, “Our company has been around for one decade and continues to change; our new team name combines our commitment to serving (hand) and the ripple effect we would like to inspire (wave).”

A female and minority-owned company with an employee base across the United States mainland, Puerto Rico, and the Netherlands, mano-Y-ola employs organizational change and research consultants who specialize in outreach to minority and immigrant farming communities, early childhood education research and community assessments, and leadership development and coaching. With a diversely skilled team of staff and contractors, leaders Dr. Nolo Martinez and Maya McElrath sought to redefine a workplace culture that highlights its employees over its creator. The decentralization of power in a name (Nolo) also extends an invitation to clients and company to inhabit that ethos of a shared mutual responsibility to create beneficial change in all sectors of work.

About our company - mano-Y-ola (formerly known as Nolo Consulting, LLC) is a minority and female-owned consulting firm specializing in work with minority and immigrant farmer communities, early childhood education programs and leadership development.  The company’s mission is to help each individual professional love what they do.
