Change seems to be all around us! Not just this month, there has been a lot of change happening in the world this year. And as David Bowie sings in the classic song "Changes", "turn and face the strange". Face the unknown.
Our ego likes us to stay comfy and secure in what we know, in our comfort zone, where we feel safe. It may even be an uncomfortable comfort zone, but it's familiar and sometimes we prefer even that over something new. But our higher self knows our full potential, it knows we can strive higher and better, nudging us towards those first feelings of change within us. It can be terrifying, sure. But usually, if we've been following our guidance, that change can bring the most amazing life experiences to us that we couldn't have imagined otherwise.
I was reminded of this myself at the end of last month as I moved cross country. Now this wasn't my first rodeo, I've lived in six countries across the globe and moved numerous times within each. You'd think it'd be easy peasy but I found myself at some points, usually when I hadn't done my spiritual and energetic self care, to feel mild panic and bewilderment at the life experience I found myself in. And this was a move finally in my home country, where I spoke the language, the laws were clear cut and where it should have all been familiar. But change is change as I realized. The ego stirs up trouble in our minds, telling us we were more comfortable back there, where we knew what was what, who was there, and so on. "This unknown variable for everything - home, work, friends, support system, isn't necessary you silly girl. Go back and be relaxed and comfortable." This is when you need to tune into your heart and higher self, who whispers behind it all to us, "this will bring even better home, work, friends, support system and opportunities into your path. Have faith. Trust. Never limit yourself. Ask for help and then trust."
That help is Source, the Universe, the Angels, the Dragons, your Spirit Guides, the Ascended Masters, all of them waiting to be asked for help every single step of your path. Your job is to ignore the fear and panic and instead be filled with faith and trust as you follow your inner guidance.
