Coronation Couture - Featured on KEYT Santa Barbara!

Thank You for Attending Coronation Couture. To be Presented Again June 1st

Thank you for attending our Coronation Couture exhibition at Workzones, Paseo Nuevo. The Couture Pattern Museum is thrilled to announce that our event made it to the Top News page of KEYT! YouTube here

The exhibition, held during Santa Barbara's 1st Thursday Artwalk, featured Norman Hartnell's iconic royal Coronation designs and meticulous hand-sewn recreations created in our Santa Barbara Atelier. The official His Majesty's Coronation government website highlighted our event, emphasizing its global significance.

We dedicated over 1,000 hours to reproducing full-sized replicas of Hartnell's rare 1953 Coronation patterns, including a Viscountess and Baroness Coronation robe and court gown. Our exhibit also displayed a Hartnell-designed British Red Cross uniform, authenticated fabric samples from Queen Elizabeth's royal Robe of Estate, a signed OBE Royal stamp, original patterns, vintage magazines, and exclusive original press photos from 1953.

The Couture Pattern Museum plans to digitize our entire Norman Hartnell sewing pattern collection in honor of the Coronation year.

Consider becoming a Founding Member for exclusive access to the pattern database, Founder's Circle, and other perks for $25/month, or become a blog reader for $5/month to gain insights into couture design and the recreation process.

If you happened to miss the exhibition or have already attended, we warmly invite you to join us again and bring along a friend or even a group of friends to share the experience!

"The Queen is calm before our Misty eyes. A slight and gentle figure, graceful in her glistening gown, her hands clasped, and her eyes cast down. In beauty and solemnity, most slowly, she advances to her great and lonely station. With those here, in the great Abbey, and the millions outside, I join in a simple prayer. God save the Queen, and long may she reign - for I feel that the whole world needs her."
