Hello Kainaatis!

Hello Kainaatis!

We have some exciting news to share. Kainaat Studios has just launched a new channel: Kainaat Astronomy in English. As the name implies, the videos are going to be in English, but will maintain the same emphasis on building curiosity. The videos will still be hosted my me, but some of those will be in collaboration with the International Astronomical Union (IAU), and some with National Public Radio's affiliate in Massachusetts (see the first one, Mr. Universe, below). In addition, the Chai interviews there will focus on the societal issues related to future human settlements in space. But, and this is important, the videos in Urdu will continue, especially the bi-weekly series, Kainaati Gup Shup! I hope you subscribe both to the Urdu and the English channel.

In case you are wondering the likely date for the start of the Ramadan, it looks like the crescent moon will be visible in the evening skies of Pakistan on March 22nd. Happy Ramadan!

This is the Andromeda Galaxy captured by Dr. Ahmed Naeem under the darkest skies of Pakistan within the premesis of Taqwa Observatory in Balochistan.

A galaxy that may have a planet like our Earth with some astronomy enthusiasts living on it and staring at our home galaxy, the Milky Way, with the same curiosity as we look towards Andromeda in cold winter nights.
