the weekly Round-Up

Happy International Women’s Day, Round-Up Readers!

IWD marks hertelier’s third anniversary! Whoop whoop! Exciting to see how we've evolved from an idea into a vibrant community with 6,800 + on LinkedIn, 1,500+ on Instagram and thousands of you on this newsletter list! I can't believe this is issue #150!

Big thanks to my partner, Nancy Mendelson, who has been instrumental in building the hertelier brand and who has worked patiently with me đŸ«¶ Thanks to all our contributors and the 500+ women we've interviewed for generously sharing their insights and experiences! We are about to announce some exciting partnerships for 2024 and a podcast! We are excited to keep serving you with inspirational content and engaging events. If you have ideas, or you (or your company) want to get involved, please email me!

Speaking of podcasts, in honor of Women's History Month / IWD I was on The Modern Hotelier podcast, such a fun chat with hosts Steve Carran and David Millili! And was a guest on the Cloudbeds IWD LinkedIn Live. ICYMI: watch here! Great to chat with host Paula CarreirĂŁo and Cindy Alonso, who both work at Cloudbeds.

Finally back home in London trying to catch up after two incredible weeks away in Vegas and Florida, and still buzzing from our SOLD OUT event in Miami! Miami's reputation as a land of opportunity for women in hospitality isn't just talk; it's the real deal. Read why!! Big thanks to our partners: Cornell Hotel Society of South Florida, Expedia Group, The Hotels Network and Women in Travel Thrive for their support. The event was so successful, we’re already planning our next one there for the Fall, please email me if your company is interested in partnering with us.

BTW, loved all your IWD posts on LinkedIn and hope you took a moment to celebrate all that women contribute to make the world a better place! Feels bittersweet this year
while we are making progress, sadly there are areas where we are going backwards on women's rights and protections. Even more reason why we need to keep leading, supporting each other and joining together to achieve gender equality.
