Hello Families!
Thank you to everyone who supported our restaurant nights at Mission Burrito! We are proud to honor Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month and support this local business. Our next restaurant night is at a WHECES favorite, Maria’s Italian Kitchen, on October 24 in honor of Italian American Heritage Month. Please join us there or mention our school when placing your takeout and delivery orders! No third-party apps.
If you haven’t signed up for your family photo session with Fund Photos yet, don’t delay! Time slots are filling up quickly. On 11/5, have your photos taken at Orcutt Ranch in the morning before Fall Festival. On 11/6, head over to Meri Cheri Art Studio to get photos taken in the afternoon in front of their colorful mural! The entire $50 fee for each session goes to our school and you can use these photos for your annual holiday cards!

Dear WHECES Families, We will be having an all-school Halloween parade on Monday, October 31 at 8:05 am on the upper yard. Families are invited to attend but must stand in the area behind the cones. Students should wear their costumes to school. Your teacher will let you know if they need to bring a change of clothes. NO MASKS, NO WEAPONS, AND NO INAPPROPRIATE/CULTURALLY INSENSITIVE COSTUMES. The optional acceleration days information previously sent out has been changed. There will be school on Wednesday, October 19, Wednesday, December 7, Wednesday, March 15, and Wednesday, April 19. The optional acceleration days will be rescheduled to December 19-20 and April 3-4. The last day of school will now be June 9, 2023. Sincerely, Christina Desiderio |

HERO Calling all our HEROs!!! We need you to come save the day! We’ve raised over $50K and I know we can reach our goal of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS…I just know it! But I can’t do it without the help of our superHERO families!
Every donation gets your child a HERO shirt and one (1) HERO magnet (one per family). For donations over $750, each child who attends WHECES will get a shirt, hat, and water bottle PLUS a magnet, yearbook, and name on the Birthday Marquee (that’s only one per family). For every donation of $1000 or more, you will receive the aforementioned PLUS one (1) child will get to have lunch with Mrs. Desiderio (not one on one….just to clarify). The more you give, the more you get, and the more our school benefits!
To our 5th-grade families who have contributed to the 5th- grade fund, your tier structure is reduced by $250….so you get all the perks but at a lower amount…if it doesn’t make sense, email me at wheceshero@gmail.com and I will gladly explain it to you.
Donate to HERO using the online form listed below or fill out the attached form and turn it in to your classroom OR drop it off your form/payment in the HERO BASKET located in the office (please DO NOT place it in the red PATT box). https://www.mypatt.org/hero-campaign OR you can donate (in one lump sum only) via VENMO at @patt-team. Please be sure to include “HERO”, your child’s name/teacher and shirt size in the comments section.

The class that has 100% participation in the HERO campaign will earn a class pizza party AND each student in that class will receive a gift certificate for one (1) scoop of ice cream from Cup and Cone.

FALL FESTIVAL The Fall Festival presented by WHECES PATT is back! The festivities will take place on campus on Saturday, November 5th from noon to 6 PM. We will have food trucks, a fun house, carnival games and prizes, and a live DJ and entertainment presented by our students. We will also have a bake sale, and silent auction, and our 5th-grade class also has some fun in store for you! An obstacle course and inflatable slide will also be available for added entertainment! Admission to the actual festival is free and tickets to take part in the individual festival activities will go on sale soon. All proceeds from the festival will go towards the numerous improvements PATT supports for our school. All are welcome…so mark your calendars, bring the entire family, and come join us for the fun! You don't want to miss this exciting fall event! |

Birthday Marquee Celebrate your WHECES student’s birthday by having their name posted on our school’s Birthday Marquee. Many spots are still available and it only costs $30 (all proceeds go to PATT benefitting the students of WHECES)! Your child’s name will appear Monday through Sunday for all their friends to see so sign up today by going to:

The Marquee is updated on Monday mornings. Therefore, the deadline to sign up will be the Sunday the week you wish to have your child’s name appear. After that, no dates will be available to be added that week. No exceptions.
