Summer Dream Beach Getaways

This photo is one I took of a beach that I visited in Kenting, Taiwan in 2023. I remember very vividly that I had a moment of realization of my relationship with my job that I had at that time, and I formed a clear picture of how I would like Nose of Gatsby to be. This place is also one of my inspirations for our newest creation SINGLE SHOT. - Gatsby Yeh

Nanwan Beach, Kenting, Taiwan

Kenting is home to a few of Taiwan’s most picturesque, sandy beaches. Nanwan Beach is considered one of the best surfing locations on the entire island. Its white sands and warm ocean waves make it perfect for fun recreation and spectacular photo-ops, especially at sunset. A former whaling spot during the era of Japanese Imperial rule of Taiwan, Kenting is still home to several small fishing villages where visitors can experience some of the best seafood and other delicious Taiwanese dishes.

Perissa Beach, Santorini, Greece

The beautiful island of Santorini has multiple gorgeous beaches that visitors can explore. Perissa is a perfect spot for vacationers looking for a relaxing time or a break from island-hopping around the Aegean. It lies at the base of Mesa Vouno volcano, home to the archeological site of Ancient Thera. The breathtaking views of the deep blue Mediterranean and clean, black sand beach are unforgettable.

Mazzaro Beach, Sicily

Mazzaro’s white sand and pebble beach is tucked away in a small inlet, making it a uniquely cozy beach getaway. It is part of the historic hill-top commune of Taormina, where you can see the Ancient Roman theatre and the Norman Castle. The resorts, historical sites and beaches played a prominent role in season 2 of HBO’s The White Lotus.

Hulopoʻe Beach, Lānaʻi, Hawaii

When it comes to Hawaii, there are so many beaches to choose from that are prime examples of tropical paradise. Hulopoʻe Beach on the island of Lānaʻi is a perfect choice because it has everything you could hope for in a Hawaiian beach vacation, while being slightly less busy and more out of the way than other beaches like Waikiki. The tide pools are a key feature for people to explore the nature and ocean life of Hawaii.

Baby Beach, San Nicolas, Aruba

Aruba is a dream destination for all those who fantasize about a Caribbean getaway (and who frequently enjoy the Beach Boy’s Kokomo). A true picturesque locale, Baby Beach is a shallow lagoon on the tip of Aruba’s southeast shoreline. Imagine strolling down the white sand beach, sipping a rum cocktail and enjoying the warm Caribbean sun.

Pop-up at FUMERIE PARFUMERIE in Portland

In July, Nose of Gatsby is appearing as a month-long residential guest in one of the legendary niche, indie perfumeries in Portland, FUMERIE PARFUMERIE. FUMERIE PARFUMERIE is a store that is famous for carrying numerous amounts of well-made, hard-to-find, or vintage fragrances and perfumes from mostly independent perfumers and small-scale perfumeries. They host events or fragrance workshops frequently and FUMERIE PARFUMERIE has become the place where people who love Portland and fragrance enthusiasts must visit. Nose of Gatsby is their guest perfumer for July, and they are featuring our creations. If you live in or are visiting Portland, after saying hello to MANTEL PDX (who also carries Nose of Gatsby perfumes), please come here to say hello to them as well.

Liquid Salve / Extrait de Parfum

All of Nose of Gatsby Liquid Salve has nurturing property that can be applied on the dry and flaky body skin, and cuticles. It also can be mixed with unscented body lotion to boost the aroma experience and to increase the moisturizing elements.

Out of Lab in Aug

Nose of Gatsby will be away from our Lab for the first two weeks of August. We will have a cut-off time for shipping all the orders we receive before 8/2 (Friday) 12:00 pm. For any order placed after that, it will be shipped after 8/19 (Monday).

Our last in person event before the out of lab time is 8/3 (Saturday) in the Georgetown Flea Market, 10am - 4pm. We hope to see you there!
