Thank you all for giving us the opportunity to add Snowboarding on to our Winter 2021 Camping Trip! Some of the boys were unable to attend due to behavior at school and home.. because of this, our Bible lessons were about the choices we make. We stayed in a cabin at the Shenandoah KOA and went to Bryce Resort for Snowboarding. We wanted to give you first dibs on the video as a thanks to helping us always reach our fundraising goals! December 2021 Community Events |
|
|
On December 18th, we had the opportunity to partner with Alpha and Omega Network of Ministries as they did their annual “Police Presence with Presents” Christmas event. They provided the community with groceries, donated coats, toys, and Chick-fil-A sandwiches. We were able to add on 65 brand new children coats with the $1200 grant we received from Community Knights. This day was full of love, laughter, and commUNITY! Videos from these events are linked below. |

We are in the process of planning some volunteer events for the upcoming months. We would like to be able to plan a night soon with the young men and their families to include a Bible study, food, and games.. more info to follow! Our next big trip will be the Spring 2022 Camping Trip. |

Pictured above is our beloved Jordan Miller, brother of two of our mentees, who lost his life to gun violence just over a year ago. Gun violence in Newport News, VA has taken the lives 28 people in the year of 2021 as of December 21st. Programs as a preventative measure are hard to find for our young men—ones that implement the true solution (our Heavenly Father) are even more scarce. This remains our reason why. |

Thanks to you, these young men are able to explore positive outlets in nature rather than turning to drugs and violence. They are able to come to learn about their Heavenly Father and will have the opportunity to surrender their lives to him. And they are learning the importance of being selfless and grateful for the many blessings of God through serving others who are even less fortunate. We can’t thank you enough for your continued prayers, love, and support for Today Jesus Outreach. We ask that you continue to spread the word on what you are helping us accomplish in the lives of these young men and keep us all in your prayers. May God Bless you ❤️ |
