The Red Hookers Fishing Club Inc was established in 1979 by like minded members of the Redbank Plains Community, to promote an avenue for Friendship and Family enjoyment within the sport of fishing.

March 2021

Hi team

The club has seen a good increase of club participation in the last few months

Its been really good to see on average of about 15 club members at a meeting ,either in person or for the guys that live further away going in through the zoom meeting app.

Thanks for the good input that all members bring to the monthly meetings.

The club has had a review of its insurances over the last 12 months or more and its very pleasing to let everyone know we have a top level of cover for the club members that attend any club event .

Thanks Paul and Grant .

Raffles have been a huge success of late, we have had good numbers of club members helping out selling between 4-5 of the best looking meat trays you will ever see.

So if you are free on a friday afternoon pop in have a cold ale or 2 and maybe take home a tray, there is a lot  of tall tail about the one that got away .

There has been lots of work gone into planning our next couple of big trips .

So big thanks to the guys that are working on them.

Brett has put his hand up to organize the next order of club shirts .

So if there is anything you would like to see on them or just any input that may help, come to the next meeting and put your ideas down .

Thanks Brett .

First meeting will be on the 13/4/21 at 7.00pm .

David will send out a zoom invites for anybody unable to attend the meeting.

Club boat

To date the club boat is running well.

We are about to build a 'lean to' for the boat to park under, so stay tuned for info on the working bee.

Thanks to all the guys who have given up their time to keep the club boat in top condition.

Don't forget people, the boat is there for all club members to use .

So get out there and don't forget to send pics of your catch so we can fill up the next news letter.

Club trips

Due to bad weather the March trip out in the bay was cancelled ,its good to get lots of rain but can it only rain on work days.

The next big trip is Gladstone  Boyne Tannum Hookup.

Friday 30 April.

This is a fun filled couple of days ,so if you can come there is lots of fishing, fun and a lot of laughs and hopefully a few good prizes to bring home .

This years Fraser trip is in the pipe line ,we are planning to head up there in September.

This trip is always the best trip of the year ,we do a lot of fishing and we also get a chance to explore one of the best islands in QLD .
