Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

On behalf of all staff and our Residents at Shannon Court, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

2022 has been another difficult year for many, but we hope that the holiday season brings you joy, happiness, and good health. We are grateful for all of the support we have received from everyone, we truly appreciate it.

A big thank you to everyone who has dropped off presents for our Residents and our staff. Everyone here is looking forward to opening their presents in a few days.

If you would like to drop off any presents for our residents, please put a label on the present/bag so we know who the presents are for. We get quite a lot of presents dropped off, so we want to make sure they all go to the right people! Please also continue to mark any clothes that are brought in, so they don't get mixed up in our laundry room. If you need any advice or guidance about this, please speak with someone from our Domestic team who will be able to help.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Home again in 2023!

Updated mask wearing guidance

We have received updated face mask guidance that has now been implemented at Shannon Court. In short, the new guidance states that face masks are now no longer required to be worn at all times in a Care Home Setting. However, there will be specific times when masks will still need to be worn. These include when:

  • a staff member is caring for a person suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19

  • there is an outbreak of COVID-19 in the Home, staff and visitors must wear masks

  • a resident receiving care prefers staff members to wear a mask

Mask wearing may also be considered when an event or gathering is risk assessed as having a particularly high risk of transmission.

We continue to encourage staff members to wear face masks if they wish to do so.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this update, please get in touch with us.

Thank you once again for joining our mailing list. We look forward to seeing you all again soon, stay safe!
