Ronnie Bowman and the Engelhardt Music Group are excited to announce the next single off of Ronnie Bowman's self-titled album.
Matterhorn, written by Mel Tillis and Fred Burch, is the 7th track on Ronnie's album released just over a year ago.
"I first heard Matterhorn on a Country Gentlemen record. I was young and influenced by the storyline. Then later in life when I was attempting to write songs, I wanted to meet the author... it was Mel Tillis. I told him I had just recorded it. He loved it and so did I. The musicians that played on this song had so much respect for Mel and the song that it was inevitable... we had to record it!" - Ronnie Bowman
Coming in at 2:16, this track features Scott Vestal (banjo), Barry Bales (bass), Wyatt Rice (acoustic guitar), Dan Tyminski (mandolin), and Aubrey Haynie (fiddle).
With harmonies by Garnet Imes Bowman & Dan Tyminski.
"I heard Ronnie's Matterhorn on WSM. That's one for the ages"
- Mike Henderson (The Steeldrivers, Chris Stapleton)
