STUDIO CONFESSIONS

Hello Friends

I did it! I delivered a great talk and met fantastic people at Podcast Movement Evolution in Los Angeles. Here are some of the treasures I found in the golden state, my home state of California!

Event

Conventions are the best way to get to the next level of where you want to go. Everyone is open and wanting to connect and share ideas. I am thrilled that I was able to contribute my take on podcasting at PME. If you want to listen in, here is a phone video of my talk. It is not the official edited version, but it gets you in.

If you want some motivational art talk, reach out! I’d love to speak at your next event.

Walls I Demolished, or why I left L.A.

Podcast EP #57

Before I could memorize three thousand words and show up to deliver my talk at my session at Podcast Movement, I realized I had to over come a few mental blocks I had created as a coping mechanism to get through early traumas. If you are setting goals and falling short, it might just be internally conflicting ideas. Over come them and you are good to go! Listen in, to how I demolished my walls!

Mission and Intention

Podcast EP #58

After L.A., I met up with family and friends in San Francisco where I connected with a thriving family and a creative entrepreneur team. Meet Co-Founder Ivan Lopez, of Artillery, an art space in the Mission District. We sit with his business and life partner Kelly Ortega and their toddler, as they each (including baby) talk about community centric business and how they went about naming their first born ‘Amate’. This is a wonderful conversation you’ll want to be a part of.

Merch and Support

Show off!

Support SC podcast by wearing this t-shirt of a collage I made titled “Shelter”. Through my podcast I hope to offer a safe space to talk about empowerment and some ‘shelter’ from a world that doesn’t often see in full color as we do!

I will be releasing a postcard episode from MOCA in Los Angels where it all really began for me as an artist when I was a teen. I will be talking about the current exhibition on view “With Pleasure: Pattern and Decoration in America 1972-1985”.

I swooned when I visited!!

THANKS YOU!!
