Grants Successfully Acquitted!

As of this week we can now say that we have won and successfully acquitted 2 Grants, as well as winning an award for the best Restoration of a Heritage building in the QPRC region for 2019. Wow what a year!

This all came about from a one-day course at The Business Enterprise Centre right across the street from The Hive. In sharing my business ideas with the group another participant shared their knowledge of the grant scheme which aligned with my vision. This is an example of the ‘Hive-mind-set’ that we would like to foster within the Hive. A ‘place’ where stories are shared and connections made, for a better future.

I would like to acknowledge the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage for really supporting and backing our projects through the Heritage Near Me program. No developer or capitalist would in their right mind have purchased such an old Heritage listed building that needed so much work done to it. Without the Government support we would not be where we are today. Thank you.

Reminder: Permaculture Master Class workshop is on this Sunday!

Learn new skills and help design and transform our backyard garden space into something special – a place for people of all ages to pursue a broad range of creative endeavours. Led by Lizzy ‘Worksmith’ Smith, Permaculture designer and certified human factors and ergonomic specialist.

Bring your painting, mosaic, textiles, whatever it is that you work with. A donation of $10 each toward the Hive and a cuppa would be appreciated.
