1.

You know what the word "Sewist" means.

"Sewist"

is just a another way of saying sewing artist or sewing enthusiast.

It is a fairly new word, describing a fairly old art form. Put simply, it is a term used to describe people who create sewn works by hand and by machine, including crafts, clothing, and costumes. I admit it sounds a little pretentious at first, but it just looks better on paper than sewer, and leaves a little more room for imagination than seamstress or tailor so I have adopted it.
