Engaging Black Friday Campaigns!

Hey fellow marketer,

As we gear up for this year's Black Friday, let's take a moment to dive into the world of captivating Black Friday campaigns from the past.

1/ Reverse Auction by Samsung:

Samsung wowed customers with a Reverse Auction, offering an exhilarating shopping experience that drew over 50,000 customers. With bids starting at full retail price and dropping until they reached a bargain, it was a Black Friday experience like no other.

2/ Project Black Friday: The Bank Never Wins by TWOJEYS:

For Black Friday 2020, TWOJEYS created a short movie heist-themed campaign that resulted in over 5000 orders within the first 24 hours of publication. The engaging storyline and guest appearances made this campaign a huge success.

3/ Limited Edition Orangutan Soap by Lush:

Lush's 2017 campaign focused on raising awareness about the near extinction of orangutans. They launched a limited edition soap on Black Friday, with all revenue from sales donated to the Sumatran Orangutan Society. It's an exceptional example of purposeful marketing combined with unique products.

Now, onto our exciting plans for Cottonmount and Xpert:

At Cottonmount, we've hidden golden tickets inside randomly selected orders.

5 customer will be in for a special surprise - a golden ticket worth £100 cash!

It's our way of adding some extra joy to your Black Friday shopping experience.

Over at Xpert, we're feeling generous too! We'll be refunding the orders of two lucky customers chosen at random.

Who knows, you might be one of the fortunate ones to receive a random refund this Black Friday!

Get inspired by these fantastic Black Friday campaigns to make your own mark in the marketing world.

Wishing you an extraordinary Black Friday ahead!

Best regards,

Jack Willoughby

P.S. Studies show that both shoppers are significantly influenced by Black Friday deals, demonstrating its ability to attract consumers and increase sales.

Thought of the Week

Stop interrupting what people are interested in and be what people are interested in.

Marketing Tip of the Week

I've spent hundreds of thousands on Ads for clients.

And I've learnt a thing or two about what works and what doesn't with creatives.

Here's 3 key takeaways to make sure your creatives work!

1/ Non-edited, roughly shot UGC works the better than polished videos.

2/ If you're using carousels, include the price in the product information. Don't waste peoples time and your money!

3/ Images work, video works better 80% of the time!
