November Newsletter

Vol 6.

Thank you for your interest in the Browne4Mayor campaign newsletter. As we come to the home stretch of this campaign, please remember to VOTE and check the WEBSITE for the latest news and updates.

Dear Gahanna,

It has been my distinct honor to offer you a CHOICE in the Gahanna mayoral race. All that's left to do is for voters to get to the polls and take a CHANCE on my vision for our city. Intentionally, I have made no campaign promises except to be transparent and honorable in dutifully addressing the issues that face our beautiful city. Gahanna is already a safe and friendly city - that's why we all chose to live and raise our families here.

Jobs promised in future years in exchange for tax abatements today can hardly be called "creation." Gahanna has an unacceptable vacancy rate, especially at Creekside. We should expect more from our mayor than merely re-paving streets, collecting trash and issuing proclamations. That's the type of stuff symbolic mayors crow about accomplishing.

Gahanna needs CHANGE. We need an experienced leader to tackle the problems facing our growing city: adequate housing, good-paying jobs, competitive schools, and innovative collaboration with city officeholders and stakeholders to squeeze the most from every tax dollar.

I hope that I have earned your vote on November 7th! Please VOTE BROWNE FOR MAYOR OF GAHANNA!

Sincerely,

VOTE OUR SLATE

I hope you will support our entire slate of qualified candidates for the general election this fall. Please vote for the whole team on/before NOVEMBER 7th!

Early voting ends Sunday, November 5th at 5pm!

LET'S BUILD A BETTER GAHANNA!

Running an effective campaign and getting my message to Gahanna's 35,000 residents requires a direct mail campaign in addition to the canvassing efforts of my team and me.

The time is now! Please DONATE TODAY to support my effort to become Gahanna's next Mayor. Any amount helps! #ExperiencedLeadershipMatters

DEFERRED MAINTANENCE ...

Impassable, destroyed and/or non-ADA complying sidewalks can be found citywide. The incumbent's gameplan? Apply for a grant to repair them over the next 2 years! That certainly doesn't sound like "promises kept" to me. Gahanna demands better!

SPEAKING OF YARD SIGNS ...

It's not too late for a B4M yard sign! If you (or people you know) want one, just click the VOLUNTEER button below and let us know where to place it. VOTE BROWNE FOR MAYOR OF GAHANNA!

GAAC UPDATE

Since the September 5, 2023 City Council meeting – where Gahanna Area Arts Council President Christian Peck and others blasted the incumbent administration for stonewalling the creation of a community arts policy (promised in May) – a committee has been hurriedly put together.

In the past few weeks, it has become abundantly apparent that the administration's reading of the Felix v. City of Bloomfield case (which was heavily relied upon to censor the artwork of Gahanna school children) was a tad off. In any event, with 2 meetings under its belt, this committee has been systematically prevented from making any meaningful progress towards a viable public arts policy.

This impromptu committee is not listed on the “new and improved” city website and no meeting minutes have been made available as of yet – likely because transparency is not a top priority for this administration.  Again, that doesn't sound like "promises kept" to me.

VOTE "YES" NOVEMBER 7, 2023

Gahanna, the reproductive rights bill needs your "YES" vote to succeed. Let's show up and stand up for personal freedom this fall.
