Hello all you extraordinary subscribers and welcome to my May newsletter. As the weather warms up here in the UK, it's perfect for the Heather Blazer by the Friday Pattern Company I just completed. The full review is in progress to be shared next month, so in the meantime I have put together a blog post on my fitting process. |

My Heather Blazer project came shortly after the Sienna Maker Jacket, and so some of the process was a little familiar but it was still enough of a challenge with a lining to add. I started it on a workshop with Claire Tyler, and completed the rest at home with the help of her video tutorials. I documented my fitting journey with lots of photos of my toiles. The blazer is pretty oversized so I did go down two sizes. |

I've had a few questions asking about the Lynda Maynard online course I attended for the Sienna Maker Jacket, so I've written a review of the course itself here. It was fantastic and I learned so much that helped carry me forward to the Heather Blazer. Feel free to reply to this email if you'd like any more details. |

As I look forward to a cruise next month, I managed to whip up a simple white t-shirt that I know will get a lot of wear. Having made one before, it sadly met with a green hoodie in the washing machine and was never the same again, and so I made another exactly the same. This was my fifth in this pattern and I have used various different fabrics which I talk about about in this post. |
