Over the last few years, the theme for me has really been to go with the flow. Life has thrown up many challenges, and we have had to adjust plans, move quickly, slow down and change priorities. This has ultimately changed my own style to some extent and I am learning to apply less pressure to myself.
When I have a quiet space between shows, I select some of my own works to exhibit in the gallery. I made a few locals nervous by leaving the walls blank for 3 days after bumping out Phoenix as they thought I was closing my doors permanently. It was comforting that they noticed!
It's been a challenging 18 months, however I am happy to report that there are some wonderful events and exhibitions coming up throughout the rest of the year. Pop these dates in your diary.
If you are an artist considering exhibiting, get in touch to enquire about available dates left this year or start to plan for next year. The gallery is also able to host one-night events for a book launch or other special occasions.
The image above is 'Together' from my recent joint exhibition with Monique Harpur, 'Small Beginnings'. I have just a few of the prints remaining for sale, and these are presented with timber rails, rather than traditional framing, so they have almost a Japanese scroll appearance. These A2 Fine Art prints are available for $175 with rails, or $125 without.
