Over the last few years, the theme for me has really been to go with the flow. Life has thrown up many challenges, and we have had to adjust plans, move quickly, slow down and change priorities. This has ultimately changed my own style to some extent and I am learning to apply less pressure to myself.

When I have a quiet space between shows, I select some of my own works to exhibit in the gallery. I made a few locals nervous by leaving the walls blank for 3 days after bumping out Phoenix as they thought I was closing my doors permanently. It was comforting that they noticed!

It's been a challenging 18 months, however I am happy to report that there are some wonderful events and exhibitions coming up throughout the rest of the year. Pop these dates in your diary.

If you are an artist considering exhibiting, get in touch to enquire about available dates left this year or start to plan for next year. The gallery is also able to host one-night events for a book launch or other special occasions.

The image above is 'Together' from my recent joint exhibition with Monique Harpur, 'Small Beginnings'. I have just a few of the prints remaining for sale, and these are presented with timber rails, rather than traditional framing, so they have almost a Japanese scroll appearance. These A2 Fine Art prints are available for $175 with rails, or $125 without.

'French Clay' by Jodi Webb

From 1 June

Travelling to the French Open for the first time in 2019 was a feast for the senses and an inspiration to photograph. Of course the French manage to make tennis look so stylish. There was plenty of rain, and the court maintenance crew would swoop onto the court, executing a ballet of sorts, whipping the covers on, sweeping the rain off in formation and making even the most mundane of tasks look beautiful.

I have selected a set of 8 images to exhibit on archival Fine Art paper which look amazing in the gallery this week. The photographs have all been printed to A2 size and are unframed, but can be ordered to any size or paper type and framing can also be organised.

Come by from 1 June to check them out.

Flow by Deb Cochrane

From 20th July until 2nd August

Opening Night Thursday 21st July from 6pm

Deb Cochrane is an international award winning photographer. Her images have been awarded in the Sony World Photography Awards and the Epson Australia Pano Awards. Whilst living in the US, Deb had several solo exhibitions in Boulder, Colorado where her work was very well received. Her images have also been featured in the International Landscape Photography Magazine.

This exhibition explores the idea that flow is a natural state in nature, affecting everything, including ourselves.

The work has been printed onto metal, which gives it a beautiful almost 3D quality, and consists of a mixture of semi-abstract images and landscapes, from both Australia and abroad.

RSVP today and pop the opening night into your calendar now!
