Cloud Ink

September, 2017 Newsletter

It's new submissions time...

Cloud Ink Press is pleased to announce the next submission period is now open and will close on the 31st of October 2017. We invite graduates of the Auckland University of Technology Masters of Creative Writing Programme to submit work. We hope to widen the scope next year, but resources for this year mean we still need to restrict submissions to alumni only.

To make a submission, you must be a paid subscriber of Cloud Ink - this is an annual cost of $100. If you wish to become a subscriber please contact Dione Jones at info@cloudink.co.nz. Manuscript submissions can be made to the same address.

Please submit in PDF format, 12-point Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing. Provide a two-page (maximum) ‘submission synopsis’ with summaries of: Plot, Themes, Characters, Length, Intended Audience, and anything you feel the Executive need to take into consideration regarding your work. For example, whether your manuscript has had a professional manuscript assessment or undergone any editing processes.

Cloud Ink has published four works in the eighteen months we have been in existence. We are looking for a variety of genres, and enjoy different challenges.

If you have any questions, please email us for further information.

Fresh Ink

Many thanks to all the contributors to Fresh Ink. The anthology was launched at the end of August at Q theatre. It sold extremely well in the first week and was second in the Neilson Weekly New Zealand Fiction Best Sellers List. Since then, we have had a lot of comments on how readers have enjoyed the stories and poems and Unity Bookshop in Wellington featured it in their front window.

Fresh Ink will be launched as an e-book on Amazon in October.  The print book is available nationwide and at our Cloud Ink Press website.

Congratulations to Nikki Crutchley one of the Fresh Ink writers, on the launch of her novel, Nothing Bad Happens Here. It is $29.95 and available from her website. www.nikkicrutchley.com
