Building trust in a CRM (or any database for that matter!)

Submitted by: Emily Wilson
Organization: Acumen

You may have a mostly solid tool that works well for a lot of people, solving a lot of their previous problems, and that tool may simultaneously have legitimate issues that need to be addressed for it to work well for everyone. But if change-skeptical users become convinced your tool is broken and act accordingly, that fact alone can send your system into a death spiral that wasn’t necessarily inevitable. What are tools we can use to build that trust back up and get users to buy back into the system’s success?

What does it actually take to become a data-driven non-profit?

Submitted by: Emily Wilson
Organization: Acumen

There’s been lots of derring-do about using data to measuring impact and making decisions, but many organizations struggle to make the jump from relationship-driven, community-based nonprofit work.  We’ll walk you through a roadmap for orgs that are still pretty far away from that ideal to see what investments and judgment calls you can make to get closer. We’ll use some case studies and learnings from Acumen’s Lean Data/Impact Measurement work; they’ve worked to convince small- and medium-sized companies in developing markets of the value of rigorous data collection about their customers and products, and to use those insights to drive strategy and decision-making at all stages of the process.

Automating the Journey: How marketing automation and drip campaigns can transform your online fundraising

Submitted by: Robert Weller
Organization: Save The Bay

Whether you are already using a marketing automation tool or are still in the beginning phases of your marketing strategies, you can benefit from journey based communications.  We’ll talk about how to craft the right journey for each of your constituents, how to implement and then automate that journey.  If you are using a marketing automation tool, but aren’t automating your conversations, we’ll tell you why you should.  If you aren’t even close to being ready for a full-blown marketing automation tool, we’ll tell you how you can still take advantage of journey building to make your email strategies more impactful.
