SEDSConnective News

The Symptomatic Hypermobility | Ehlers-Danlos I EDS HSD Neurodivergence Charity.

Welcome to our February newsletter on this leap year day! 🦘

This may have been a longer month than usual - but it hasn't stopped us from being busy - as we welcomed 3 new Trustees and 2 new Advisors to the team.

Our Chair attended more events, including a trip to a university where she presented on Autistic/Neurodivergent Health & Education, a public think tank conference speaking on 0-5s, plus an exciting appearance on National TV to round up the month!

Here's what's been happening, and what's coming up...

Neurodivergence Affirming Day - 11th March

We are calling out for a Neurodivergence Affirming Acceptance Day.

Why? We are told for many years that our iissues are 'all in our heads' or due to social emotional environments.

We hear what you are saying and we believe you and as the science is now coming forward we will believed. Neurodivergence body/brain connects and we need acceptance of our differences, Hopefully more research and funding.

Most of all belief and our voice are heard!

Please add to your diary and all ideas are welcome.

SEDSConnective are calling for a Neurodivergence Affirming Acceptance Day.

We are proud to be the Symptomatic Hypermobility (EDS HSD pgJH), Neurodivergent (Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Tourettes, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia Dysgraphia plus) Charity, and supporting our neurodivergent communities

National TV Appearance for Jane Green!

If you happened to be watching ITN 5News at 5:30pm on Wednesday 28th February, you will have been lucky enough to see our very own Jane Green MBE chatting with presenter Dan Walker on Autism/neurodivergence in the workplace.

Jane joined Dan LIVE on air to discuss the iissues of workplace environments from her professional and personal experience as an autistic person and spokesperson for SEDSConnective. She is aware there was a short time to cover most points

We are so proud of Jane who spoke brilliantly on air and Dan was delighted to meet her also.
