Okaloosa Democratic Executive Committee

Elects a New Chair

On Tuesday February 19, outgoing Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) Chair John Whitley passed the gavel to newly elected Chair Tracey Tapp. John stepped up to lead the DEC at a critical time, and provided the leadership necessary to oversee our unprecedented Get Out The Vote efforts in the 2018 election. John will continue in his role as State Committeeman for Okaloosa County. We are grateful to John for his dedicated service to the Democratic Party!

Tracey has served on the DEC for 2 years as the precinct organizer for Destin and as the Chair of the Communications Committee. Last fall, she took a temporary position with the Florida Democratic Party as a Field Organizer in Okaloosa County, where she was responsible for mobilizing and organizing volunteers for our Get Out The Vote efforts. Tracey’s knowledge of field organizing will serve us well as we move into the 2020 election cycle.

Please join us in thanking our outgoing Chair, John Whitley, and in welcoming our new Chair, Tracey Tapp!
