Are you coming to Conference this weekend? Want to help ensure WEP centres women? Get in touch! We need to hold WEP to account. We need YOU!
Sharing this blog is one way to help. Speaking up (and voting) at Conference is another.
WEP have been in dereliction of their duty for women for too long. Membership numbers have been in freefall and the relatively few attendees at Conference are looking likely to be teed up to vote this motion through. But what matters is that we bear witness, that we show up and make our voices heard, and that we show the rest of the UK that this party is failing to function, is failing women on so many levels, and desperately needs to break out of its bubble.
The women who aren't there are the ones who need us to speak, to act, to persist.
With many thanks to Sophie and all our sisters (and brothers) who continue to stand for women, putting their heads above the parapet when they can.
We know it's not easy and we're so grateful to you.
