I trust this newsletter finds you well and that you have been enjoying the recent spells of sunshine. I've been nice and busy, with some customers jetting off to the sunshine and others on Harley-Davidson adventures on Route 66. There's even been an engagement proposal in Dubai! It's so rewarding to be booking lots of your holidays. I have seen an increase in customers booking relatively last minute, as well as holidays for later in the year and for 2023. Popular destinations seem to be New York, Las Vegas, Mauritius, the Maldives, Costa Rica and, of course, European destinations, such as Spain and Greece. The world is definitely open for business again. I am well and truly back doing what I love and it is a wonderful change from amending, cancelling and refunding, I can tell you. I am delighted to be able to inform you that your NHS COVID Pass will now be valid for 180 days, instead of 30. This COVID Pass allows you to show proof of vaccination against or recovery from the virus, or evidence of a negative test. Please don’t worry if you are not an app user as printed copies of your COVID Pass are available on request from the NHS. I am sure this change will be greeted by many travellers as a positive step in making life a little easier when going abroad... |

Please check the validity of your passport. Since Brexit, there has been some confusion surrounding the validity requirements for passports for those of us travelling to the EU. Some passengers (not booked with me!) have been denied boarding by airlines due to this misunderstanding. There are two new passport rules for travel to the EU since the UK left the European Union. 1) Passports must be no more than 10 years old to enter the EU. Some passports had additional months added if they were renewed before the previous one expired. This means some people have passports valid for up to 10 years and nine months. By this rule the nine months are not counted as part of your expiry date. 2) Your passport must still be valid for at least three months after the date the traveller plans to return home.This second rule has caused the most confusion. Initially the Foreign Office stated passports must be valid for at least six months, not three. Although this was corrected last year, some people still believe they require six months left on their passports to return home. Please check your passport in plenty of time before travel. Spain's COVID Entry Rules |

Spain has announced that it has extended its COVID entry rules until 15 June 2022. This means that unvaccinated adults are still banned from entering the country. Unvaccinated children, aged 12 to 17, can enter Spain by showing proof of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival. Vaccinated adults can enter by showing evidence of vaccination within 270 days, or proof of booster. Good news - once in Spain, the rules for wearing masks has been relaxed. This means masks are no longer required indoors in bars, restaurants and cinemas, etc. |
