IN LIFE AND IN DEATH - WE ARE GOD'S Inspired by the book, The Lost Art of Dying, Pastor Miriam will lead a two-part discussion on January 16 and 23 from 11:30-12 in the Fellowship Hall. On Jan. 16, we'll focus on how we live with our mortality, including the practical decisions that we can make to help our loved ones prepare for our death. We'll have copies of the Five Wishes and other resources to share. On January 23, we'll focus on what it means to live well in the midst of death. We'll reflect on the sacred work of grief, as well as how we ground ourselves in God's beloved community. Dugdale's work is an invitation to live and die with joy, especially as we remember Paul's wisdom from Romans 14 - in life and in death, we belong to God. |

SYMPATHY OF THE CONGREGATION The sympathy of the congregation surrounds the loved ones of Bill Walters, husband of Brenda Walters, who died to this life at the age of 71 on Saturday, January 1, 2022. Bill had been in our prayers as he had been hospitalized from covid. We give thanks that for him suffering has passed and that he now rests in the Lord. This Thursday, January 6, at 11 a.m. we will celebrate Bill's life in the Meeting House. Please join us in person or via our livestream as we witness to the hope of Christ's resurrection. Burial will be private, and there will not be a reception at this time. |
