It's officially the holiday season, and Theatre of Dare has TWO Christmas-themed productions to keep you merry and bright all through the month of December... read on for the details: |

HILARITY FOR THE HOLIDAYS Our first holiday treat is the screwball comedy The Man Who Came to Dinner, which opens TOMORROW NIGHT! Filled with a cast of zany characters and enough plot twists to fill a holiday stocking, this old-timey comedy puts the 'fun' into the dysfunctional home of Mr. Ernest Stanley. You won't want to miss this classic Christmas-themed production running from Dec. 2-11 at our theater in Kitty Hawk. Get your tickets today! |

A NEW SPIN ON AN OLD HOLIDAY FAVORITE |
As if one Christmas classic weren't enough, we're serving up another helping of holiday comedy in Manteo December 15-18! It's our special interactive take on A Christmas Story, the 1983 film that has become a holiday family tradition for so many. In this 'staged-reading' production, seven actors will be playing the main roles, while audience members will be tasked with taking on smaller character roles. Auditions for the seven featured roles will be held upstairs at Dare Arts in Downtown Manteo on Dec. 5, with performances the following week on December 15, 16 & 17 at 7:30 p.m., and a December 18 matinee at 2 p.m. Come join the fun! |

HELP US PICK A SHOW FOR NEXT SEASON! |
We had an excellent turnout for last month's pitch meeting, and are already in the midst of our selection process for our 2023-24 season. But we're reserving one spot in our 33rd season lineup to be selected by our loyal audiences! We're looking for a non-musical ('straight') play that you've always wanted to see on our stage. Perhaps a Arthur Miller or Tennessee Williams drama? Or maybe a classic comedy from Neil Simon or Oscar Wilde? Send us your suggestions, and we'll poll our season ticket holders to pick their favorite. Our 'People's Choice' production will be revealed in March! Email us at info@theatreofdareobx.com with your suggestions, and you might see it on our stage next season! |
