How to Care for Yourself During Immense Loss
Pregnancy loss is an immense loss that is often not openly discussed by many in the BIPOC community despite it occurring in 1 out of 4 pregnancies. Cultural factors may make it even more difficult to discuss the loss and providers are not always keen on the emotional and social impact a loss may have. Practical Nutrition Tips While Dealing with Pregnancy Loss
Taking care of yourself can often fall to the bottom of the list when you are grieving but it is important. Try starting with taking small steps such as those listed in the link below.
A bereavement doula works with families who have experienced a pregnancy loss. They can provide emotional, physical, and educational support to help you during this time. This may include providing information on self care, help around the house and/or help finding resources to help you cope with your loss.
