You read it right: there will be no FuckUp Night in Brussels in November.

We, the F*Team, are just as sad as you to not be seeing your smiley faces beaming at FuckUpreneur stories this month, but we are focusing our efforts on kickstarting an even better and bigger failure event in February. To which you are all invited.

So without further ado, ladies and gens, on February 25-28 we invite you to LOTE5: FAIL#UNFAIL!

Of course, you probably have no clue what LOTE means, so you are not sharing our enthusiasm just yet. LOTE stands for Living On The Edge and are “conferences” of the untraditional kind from the Edgeryders community, a global happy bunch of innovators, hackers, entrepreneurs, open data geeks and fellow trailblazers that feel best when operating at society’s edge. For LOTE5, Edgeryders is partnering up with Antiheroes – your faithful Brussels FuckUp Nights supplier – to create an event focused on failure and learning from failure. Because sharing FuckUp Stories has been a great experience, but we want to take it further. What do we do when we realize we’ve booked a seat on the Hindenburg? When we’re part of a failing project, how do we turn the tables? When we’re part of a failing system, how do we make it burn and let phoenixes rise from the ashes?

Is it free: Nope. But you can't buy tickets with money. The only way to come to LOTE is to earn your way in by co-creating the event. You can help with communication, with developing the program, with cooking and serving food on-site, with playing music and performing arts at during the night times, and so on. We are not organizers vs. attendees, we are all making this happen together.

LOTE is open to absolutely anyone from any background. The only condition is that you enjoy engaging in open, respectful conversations with anyone else from any other background.

We’d be delighted to see some of our Brussels FuckUp Fans come to LOTE and are very curious to discover in which directions you will steer the event.
