FIRST VISIT TO ALCANTARILLA |
Alcantarilla welcomed all the members of the project to visit the very advanced works of its pilot action: multimodal and cycling platform adapted to climate change. This is the first section of a lane that will link the Industrial Estate with the Plaza Adolfo Suárez in the municipality. This work is being made possible through a public-private partnership model with the participation of companies in the municipality, such as: Copele, Plasbel, Hidrogea, Nutrafur (IFF), in addition to the Entidad de Conservación del Parque Industrial Oeste (ENDECO) and the Asociación de Empresarios del Parque Industrial Oeste (ASEPIO), the European Union and the City Council itself. |

The mayor of the partner municipality, Joaquín Hernández, gave a guided tour of all the works that make up the pilot actions in Lorquí to the project partners. The action consists of applying different innovative solutions in the Ermita-Scipión hill to mitigate its erosion, and will be based on reinforcing the slopes through walls and nature-based solutions to prevent landslides. This municipality has also carried out other interesting actions, such as the restoration of the cave house and its surroundings, which has now been completed. In the case of Lorquí, the companies participating in the implementation of the pilot action with their funding are: Acciona, Elsamex, Grupo Gam, Serviman, Entorno Urbano, Auxiliares Hermon. |
