RECAP AND EVIDENCE FROM OUR JULY 9, 2022 INVESTIGATION OF VENTFORT HALL

On Saturday, July 9, the spirits at Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum wowed us with their activity. For the second investigation in a row there, we captured a truly amazing EVP (electronic voice phenomenon). In the room that is decorated like a nursery, one of my REM-devices was particularly active, making sounds that we have not heard in the two years we have had them in our kit. To our surprise, however, we recorded the sound of a child humming as our device was going heywire. You can hear that for yourself, in our video linked below. 

While we were in the billiard room, I heard footsteps coming from the second floor where there were no guests. I opened up the pocket doors and turned off our Phasmabox so we could all hear. I walked out into the hallway to listen to the footsteps when I was stunned to see a dark mass move towards the library.

The mood in the dining room was fascinating, the spirits were having quite a bit of fun at our expense. Through the Phasmabox were two bouts of very boisterous laughter that broke the silence of the room. We mentioned a party and a very eager spirit made his presence known in an amusing way.

But, it was Mr. Morgan's room in which the biggest surprise occured. In the past, I talked nonstop about how the spirits at Ventfort Hall are very advanced and learn quickly how to sabotage modern equipment. One exception was the Phasmabox - they were never able to sabotage that piece of modern equipment - UNTIL July 9, 2022. I tried to turn on the Phasmabox and walked away from the laptop. However, I saw that the volume on the laptop was being manipulated and I saw the volume decrease from 100% to 0%. I stepped back to the laptop and increased the volume only to once again see it reduce back to zero. I am stubborn so I kept my finger on the volume up button and was fighting an invisible force who kept trying to reduce the volume. I am happy to say that I won the battle and we had an interesting Phasmabox session. At one point I had tried to leave the room. Picking up my equipment, a very firm voice ordered me to sit down. I scurried to a seat to lighten the mood of the room. However, a couple minutes later, we were once again ordered to stay put.

RECAP AND EVIDENCE OF JULY 14 FORT ADAMS INVESTIGATION

It was another very active night at Fort Adams and we witnessed some amazing events! Small rocks had been thrown at two guests during the evening, matching an experience some have had at the haunted fort. I was most impressed by the light play during the evening. Several of us witnessed a number of unexplained bright lights in areas of the fort in which there were no guests or staff (some areas are impossible to gain entry as well). 

The former medical dispensary area provided more unique experiences. Several guests when entering the space had an unexplained metallic/lead taste in their mouths, some having to step outside and spit to try to get rid of it. My initial thought is during early medicine, one would bite down on bullets because of the lack of anesthesia. When I was in the dispensary area, I was surprised by a very loud noise that seemed to be right in my ear. I am happy to report that the odd noise was recorded and can be heard on our evidence video (link below). 

In the powder magazine a playful spirit entered the room, played with several of our pieces of equipment and then proceeded to annoy me by constantly poking my arm. I felt a little finger repeatedly poke me on my right arm to the point were it was harrassment. I asked the spirit to move on and the guest next to me jumped as he was poked in the back. 

We tried our new laser grid in the former bowling alley and I was impressed by an energy that manifested in front of it. A cold spot was detected growing in size and moving about the laser field.

MORE EVIDENCE PUBLISHED

As I mentioned in previous issues, 2021 was a particularly challenging year as I battled a near-fatal complication from major surgery. I scaled back investigations during 2021, but hit the ground running last fall. Unfortunately, I was unable to review evidence from 2021 and have a backlog to go through. It is my goal this year to get rid of that backlog and publish evidence we gathered last year. You will see throughout the year the release of evidence from 2021. I apologize for the delay, I mentally could not focus on reviewing evidence until a few months ago due to brain fog because of what happened last year. 

In addition, I plan to make videos of evidence from previous years. While we released evidence of previous years in the past, we will build a collection of videos highlighting all of our public events since we started the group paranormal investigations in 2014 and even some of our private investigations since we started nearly twenty years ago.

STATUS OF FACEBOOK  

To my shock and horror, we recently lost our Facebook page. Looking back, I might have relied on Facebook too much to get our news out as now we are scrambling to find other means to promote future events. But, what is most tragic is losing all the connections we have made throughout all of our events in the past. Our page had several hundred followers from all of our events. All of those connections are now gone. We're working on building a new Facebook page to suit our needs with necessary protections so we don't lose our page again. It's sad not seeing all of our friends from our previous investigations on Facebook. We will promote our new page when it's ready so that people can find us again. We apologize for any inconvenience!
