MFO was honoured to attend the official opening of the Worongary Mosque amongst many other community members. Invited guests included representatives from local, state and federal government, community services and organisations, faith based groups and interstate friends. MINISTER VISITS MFO’S NEW GROUND FLOOR OFFICE MFO has a new office on the ground floor in our current building in Scarborough St, Southport. The new office will house the NDIS team and has direct ground floor access for all clients. We are very excited about the space and are grateful State Minister for Child Safety, Minister for Seniors and Disability Services and Minister for Multicultural Affairs the Honourable Charis Mullen was able to visit and inspect our new NDIS space. She visited Southern Gold Coast 60 & Better Program Inc, Multicultural Families Organisation Inc. and Kalwun Development Corporation Ltd. If you or anyone you know has any NDIS enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us or drop in to our new ground floor office and we will do our best to assist with all NDIS enquiries. |

MFO’s Women’s Programs The Multicultural Women’s Office is back in full swing with our weekly program full of fun and friendship including the sewing group and women’s group. We were very grateful to Millie Magada – Multicultural Mental Health Coordinator at QLD Health for her informative presentation and conversations with our women. We have also commenced our Women’s Empowerment And Resilience Network (WE EARN) program supporting culturally and linguistically diverse women to prepare for the Australian workplace and build their confidence and skills to secure a job. We still have spaces for our upcoming workshops so if you are interested please contact rana@mfo.org.au.
