Feeling Good at leaders2give
What a trip! It sure felt fabulous to enjoy some time in the Baja, Mexico last month. The highlight of course was our 2-day Board Retreat. Here we are pictured left to right above: Phyllis, Betsy, Adam, Tracey, Brian, John, me, & Ian.

leaders2give has always been guided by our mission which is to inspire, teach & empower people to become leaders who possess the skills required to solve the problems facing society by providing an opportunity to engage in hands-on work in developing communities and in real life settings, but we wanted to define ourselves beyond that. An advance survey helped guide many decisions we made about our:
VALUES (what we stand for:)
- Responsible Stewardship
- Integrity
- Impactfulness
- Compassion
- Community Focused
- Empowerment of Others
OUR PURPOSE: To protect vulnerable children in developing communities & communities in crisis.
OUR GOAL: To build and sustain a children's home in El Cardonal, BCS, Mexico that provides a temporary home for children while their families are impacted by a medical crisis.
When the pandemic was announced in the Spring of 2020, we realized we had an impending crisis on our hands in Los Barriles, Mexico and surrounding area.
Our Board made the decision at that time to put the new children's home on hold so we could respond to the requests for support that we were receiving from the community; namely the Los Barriles Food Bank, The East Cape Health Center, The East Cape Guild, and The Feeding Hungry Program.
After witnessing first-hand the town seemingly is out of the "crisis zone," we are ready to once again focus on getting this new home built for vulnerable children. It will be built on donated land in El Cardonal, however, it will service children throughout Baja California Sur.
Fundraising efforts are commencing, so we can break ground in Q3-2022.
Watch this space for something special I have planned ...
