From the restoration of an old abandoned Great House to a blend of high-end villas and mixed-use commercial, we have rounded up nine of GSA's most anticipated projects of 2024. |

01 The East Coast View Villa Expected project completion: March 2024 Design style and type: Restoration, High-end Residential Special Features: Restoration of coral stone remains of an old abandoned development of a residential property done in a transitional style. Spaces: An open plan kitchen, living room and dining area completes the great room of this property, with breathtaking panoramic views of the east coast. This villa includes four ensuite bedrooms, a study space, romper room, garage and laundry area. The pool has been purposefully located to capture the soothing sounds of the nearby cascading river. Lush gardens to the north, south and west complete the property. |

02 'Delicate' Modern Villa Expected project completion: September 2024 Design style and type: Modern, High-end Residential Special Features: The design philosophy is characterised by the use of finely balanced linear elements and massing. Spaces: The interiors are dominated by abundant natural light and voluminous spaces, and emphasizes the design philosophy of delicate balance. |

04 Tropical View Villa Expected project completion: 2025 Design style and type: Transitional, High-end Residential Special Features: This four bedroom transitional villa has spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. Spaces: Tall windows will create bright and airy spaces. All bathrooms are en-suite and finished with contemporary fittings. The great room features a double height kitchen with adjacent living space that opens onto the infinity edge pool and sea view beyond. |

05 Seaside Villa Expected project completion: December 2024. Design style and type: Transitional, High-end Residential Special Features: An above ground pool, rum shop inspired bar and an outdoor kitchen equipped with its own pizza oven, completes the external living spaces. Spaces: Transitional in style, this seaside property takes the term, 'beach house' to the next level. Open in plan, this villa includes a spacious living space, private kitchen and studio on the ground floor. On the upper floor, there are three ensuite bedrooms with views to the sea. An additional ensuite bedroom with in-land views completes the upper level. 06 Saint James Villa Expected project completion: 2024 Design style and type: Contemporary, High-end Residential Special Features: This two storey contemporary home has an unencumbered view of the west coast. Spaces: The great room and master bedrooms look onto a generous pool deck flanked by a contemporary gazebo and barbecue. Natural coral stone will be used to give the structure a Barbadian flavour. |

07 Villa Modern Expected project completion: 2024 Design style and type: Modern, High-end Residential Special Features: A four bedroom villa, with views across the Apes Hill Golf Estate and the west coast. 09 Welches Retail Centre Expected project completion: The project will undergo a phased handover between 2024 – 2025. Design style and type: Commercial & Retail Special Features: The island’s first ‘big box’ style complex. Spaces: It is expected that the island’s first ‘big box’ style complex will attract several new brands to the area and even some firsts for Barbados. This will provide visitors with more varied retail, restaurant, and entertainment experiences on the island. |
