New Workshop Location!

Finally! The search for a woodworking and maker space is over! MakerSphere is pleased to announce the addition of a new satellite space located at 327 US Route 2 in Waterbury/Moretown. Formerly Ray’s Autobody Shop, the space shares a parking lot with Ted’s Kar Kare. The shop will be the site for classes including woodworking for both kids and adults, stained glass, and a number of crafting and making programs.

Upcoming programs at the space in September include middleschool classes in art and stained glass and new fall workshops for adults. (See website for info).

An open house for the public is planned for October. Stay tuned for details. If you would like to donate to help support the needs of this space, please visit our support page. Thank you!

Community Connections

MakerSphere is excited to partner with the Waterbury Area Anti-Racism Coalition to provide a studio space for their Community Mural Project. As luck and timing would have it, the new shop space is able to accommodate this large community undertaking. The mural "Madonna's Earth", designed by Burlington based artist, Raphaella Brice, will be installed in September on the back of the Stowe Street Cafe building located at 29 Stowe Street in Downtown Waterbury. Learn more about the project.
