Me Made May

Hello all you spectacular subscribers and welcome to my May newsletter. I have quietly been taking part in Me Made May, although it has largely been my Stella Hoodie getting a lot of wear :) With the warmer weather approaching, I hope to make good use of the t-shirts I have recently sewn up. My latest was in Grey Tencel Modal Jersey Fabric and I have to say this has become my new favourite fabric. It is so comfy with definite secret pyjama vibes.

I paired it with my Fiore Skirt from Closet Core Patterns on a lovely day out in Clevedon. Read my blog post about my experience with the different fabrics I used, and pattern changes.

Sagebrush sequel

This was my first Sagebrush Top by the Friday Pattern Company, and in a bid for a quick win before a cruise next month, I decided to make another in Atelier Brunette gingham double gauze in rust. This particular fabric is double sided, with 1cm checks on one side and 0.5cm checks on the other.

I really love my first version but I felt swamped by the sleeves, and they seemed to exaggerate my already wide shoulders. I therefore took some volume out of the sleeves, and shortened the shoulder seam. Once it's complete, I'll share all the changes I made in a post in next month's newsletter.
