Today, I'm really curious - what is the medieval fantasy equivalent of a flat tire? Because after lying on a cold road, sliding a jack under a car, and helping pull the third tire in the last week - I'm seriously starting to wonder.
Maybe it's an enemy knight slipping into your path, or a really unhelpful goblin heckling you for something foolish like a side quest. Maybe it's a horse who's come up lame, or a wagon wheel breaking. No matter which, I'm sure it'd be a lot worse if I couldn't climb back into a heated car. So, I count myself pretty lucky.
But, that's not the real fun of this week, now is it? If you're in America, you're probably either feebly stirring from a food induced sleep, or cackling like a dragon over your Black Friday treasures. Maybe you're both.
I'm the first, for sure.
Now, I don't have a lot of book updates. I've been working to get my editor to wrap up the audio because I'm so excited I can't see straight. What I've heard so far is fantastic and really brings The Cutthroat Prince to life.
So, I'll call it a night - because I've got to kick out the writing I didn't get done while changing tires on some backroad.
Until next time, folks,
C. J. R. Isely
P. S. Here are some books you might like because, it wouldn't be a real author email without that, right?
