Diné Storytelling ~ Gratitude ~ Important Events
Being a storyteller is in our blood as Indigenous people. At any age, you have a purpose to make a difference. Our ancestors and our creation stories demonstrate that each person has a gift, story, song, a purpose to share with the community. Each gift is medicine and has the power to bring our traditions to life.
Harnessing the power of modern technology and utilizing your gifts can help bring our communities closer to healing.

"Counting Coup" in New York City
We joined other environmental colleagues to deliver a letter addressed to Blackstone, a key investor in a hydrogen development project near the Navajo Nation project, The letter expresses grave concerns about the environmental and cultural threats posed by a proposed development. The coalition's letter delivery marks the second consecutive year that we came to New York City to raise awareness about the dangers of the hydrogen project, which threatens to disrupt the lands, livelihoods, and lifeways of Indigenous communities in New Mexico. As part of the broader effort to stop the project, the coalition is calling out corporations to divests from initiatives that exploit land without meaningful consultation or consent from the Indigenous people directly impacted.

Thank you to our Sicangu Lakota Relatives
for sharing your songs and medicine during Sundance at Crowdog's Paradise.
Sicangu Lakota Oyate relatives hold a special place in our hearts. It was an honor to pray, dance and sing at Crowdog’s Sundance over the summer. The late Chief Leonard Crowdog was the spiritual leader for the American Indian Movement which successfully protected 11 Bills in congress in 1978. In his honor, we practice and uphold our Religious Freedom Rights by participating in ceremony and advocate for our rights as indigenous people.
Thank you to our San Carlos Apache Relatives
for standing your ground and protecting the beautiful area of Oak Flat.
Thank you to our Apache Stronghold for staying vigilant in protecting the sacred Oak Flat. We were honored to host them in Gallup, NM during the prayer journey to the Supreme Court in Washington DC. Indigenous Lifeways joined the case and filed an Amicus Brief to support their efforts.
Thank you to our Pueblo Relatives
for making the Pathways event feel like home
We showcased our newest equipment, a Virtual Reality Headset donated by both AGOG and Virtual World Society. We had a line going most the day as youth and elders took a chance to experience the VR Headset for the first time!
