Hello, Art and Design Friends!I hope you've had a summer full of adventure and that you're embracing the onset of fall. The crisp mornings and cooler, colorful days beg me to hop on my bike and ride or walk in the autumn beauty. My favorite road bike ride is on CR 250, which winds me past a vibrant backdrop of dramatic red cliffs. Seventy million years ago, the Colorado Plateau's monumental uplift exposed red strata layers to capture our gazes and hearts. My heart can't help but feel an uplift as I bike past them. What uplifts your soul these days? Warmly, Cindy P.S. If your inbox is maxed out, you're always welcome to unsubscribe at the bottom of the page. Thank you! |

Red Cliffs Uplift This red cliff scene always captures my attention as I bike by its dramatic strata. It's difficult not to have my head in the clouds as I ride around Durango -- so many local moments lend themselves to inspired paintings! Red Cliffs Uplift 48” x 24” acrylic on canvas available

4 the Children I'm honored to have had the opportunity to work with an incredibly worthwhile organization that advocates and supports children in Southwest Colorado who have experienced abuse, neglect, or family-related trauma, through the power of design. |
|
|
Working closely with their executive director, we created logos, marketing material, a website design, and graphics for 4 The Children and two of their umbrella organizations, Supervised Exchange and Parenting Time and the Child Advocacy Center. 4 The Children helps provide uplifting support for the most vulnerable children in our community. 4 the Children: Protecting childhood today for stronger families tomorrow.

Sunny Lemon Vinaigrette Dressing I've fallen in love. What could possibly be more uplifting than the zesty flavor of lemon?
Luscious Durango Farmers Market arugula has been whispering sweet nothings in my ear all season! I can't get enough of its peppery, complex, tart wonderfulness.
Liberally drench a washed and dried handful of arugula with this dressing and enjoy. Parmesan cheese and few grilled shrimp atop these greens make it a meal. I love this salad. Photo by Leigh Skomal on Unsplash
