ISSUE 11, January 2022

Welcome my January monthly newsletter! :)

The end of the year for me is about being grateful for all the wonderful things I was able to experience because of YOU throughout the year, and also looking forward to new crafting adventures in 2022.

Words can never express how incredibly grateful for your friendship, your support on various social media platforms and through purchasing from my shop, and all the love you send my way!

If you have any suggestions or ideas you want to see here, please just drop me an email at 49dragonflies@gmail.com.

I have missed working in my personal junk journal made by Nadja. As of next Sunday, I'm back to posting Junk Journal Snacks every Sunday :). In this spread, I used beautiful embellishments created by very talented Sonja (Elise Klatschmohn).

BRAND NEW IN MY SHOP!

My latest kit is called "My Heart is in Egypt". Once again, I have been lucky to be able to collaborate with my friend, Ray, who has designed most of the illustrations in this kit. I have an upcoming video on Dec 28th showing you how it was created and the meaning behind it (something I have never shown on my channel!) In addition to my monthly background pages and 3 ephemera pages, I of course also created the monthly planner kits: January monthly, weeklies and trackers with backgrounds, planner pages without dates, fun planner notes, and of course my monthly planner freebies.

HEARTWARMING

Marcie was one of the winners in my give-away for the "5 Artists - 1 Folio" series. She shared this photo with me and gave me permission to share it here as well. Marcie loves the folio and is so happy to use all the pieces of ephemera of all the talented artists in her future projects :). This photo just melts my heart!

EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK

This photo is an exclusive sneak peek of my upcoming Layered Paper Bag Junk Journal series. This was a lot more challenging than expected, but I'm super happy with the outcome. I hope it will provide lots of inspiration for another way to construct a fun junk journal :).

WHAT'S ON MY DESK

Enjoying adding a touch of gold watercolor to a wintery stamp for an envelope going to a friend...happy times! :)

FREEBIES

I decided to extend the time to get my DEPHEMEREMBER freebies until Dec 31, 2021, just in case you didn't get a chance to download them yet. Enjoy! :)

A VIDEO YOU MISSED?

Luise and I hope you enjoyed our DEPHEMEREMBER series as much as we enjoyed creating it! Personally, I have to say this series was the highlight of my YouTube journey so far! We are completely overwhelmed with the amount of videos and Instagram posts (currently over 3000 posts!) you have published! This series would not have been what it was without YOU! In this wrap-up we share our feedback and experiences with this series. By the way, just in case you avoided this December Daily series because you thought it was Christmas themed, please know it WAS NOT, so go check it out if you are looking for new ephemera inspiration in 2022! Luise also has her series available in German! Luise, thank you again for allowing me to collaborate with you for DEPHEMEREMBER! What an unforgettable experience! You are my December gift!

FEATURING Debbi from Northern England

In this section I like to present projects created by my viewers.

I'm sharing some photos Debbi has shared with me of a card she created for her granddaughter's birthday using my "Once Upon A Time" papers.

Here is some more info Debbi sent me:

My name is Debbi Wailes (aka Mommyarty) and I live in Northern England.

I literally wandered into the junk journal world by accident. I couldn't paint much anymore and was bored with card making and scrapbooking so I was looking for inspiration on YouTube. I saw the name Shabbydabbydoohdah and just had to investigate. I loved her videos and she mentioned you and others so checked you all out. Best thing I ever did!

My favourite style is steampunk but finding joy in lots of others. My favourite colours are teals, blues and purples which I think go well with browns and neutrals.

The card, frame and heart was for my Granddaughter's birthday. She's only 2 but I didn't want to make it childish as she would grow out of them quickly. As soon as I saw your beautiful papers I knew I wanted them for the card. I chose the style as it shows off more of the lovely images. The style is by Sam from Mixed Up Craft who is my go-to card lady.

I want to be featured next!
