SO, 2021 has dragged its sorry arse like a stinkin aul' dug into the worst season : December, when I have to endure adverts of adult people going to their adult mothers for roast potatoes which only their mother can make. No I won't get over it. But to be fair one thing that yuletide DOES have in it's favour is that the prospect of selling something does usually push me into a wee bit of glaze development and some new shapes and ideas which I don't do in March let's face it. So here is a newsletter with all the new stuff I got avails for xmas pressies, for those who like and subscribe to xmas. I had written a fuckload about all the nice projects I done this year, such as working w Lucy McCormick on Life:LIVE!, making a pizza oven w young people at Rumpus Room, going roon the country w Fantiques Roadshow pretending to be a telly person and also starting a stall at the Barras but tbh it was out of control, and I was stressing MYSELF out never mind yoos. So i thought: what do people want? Few candlesticks, some prices and of course, the seasonal apology to all my customers. So here they are.
I have waffled on about glazes and my "process" lol in the description on the webbo enuff so just listed the headlines: wot does it cost and wot does it look like.
SEASONAL APOLOGIES.
To anyone that's ever bought something off my website, I'm sorry. The service was shonky, the packaging was squashy, the communications confusing. Sometimes things arrived broken. I'm really rather self sabotaging on the logistics front and I never get better, I actually think I am getting worse. I do tend to work slightly better at Xmas when I know the precious baby is on the way, but I fully understand that my customers have grit, endurance and tender hearts and so thank you for putting up with me!!!!!!! I do love making pottery and I literally cannot believe that people buy it!!! It's really important to me that I make small things that are sorta accessibly priced and not 2k or wotever and that they are soapdishes and cups n stuff. That's the point. If I am gonna irreversibly bake earth then I better try make it arty AND designy eh. So sorry again if you gave me your cash then got confused. It's not really a proper business let's face it :)
Anyway, have a wee break over winter, keep the heid and see you in March!!! We can do it! x
