Celebrating Life
PRO LIFE
We have made some amazing changes lately in the South to protect the unborn. I am so grateful for these major breakthroughs. My love for the ministry of Embrace Grace stems from my love for babies and their moms and my desire to protect and support them.
One of our greatest passions is to support women in unplanned pregnancies. This year I have been blessed to be involved with our Embrace Grace Alumni. These brave women have already chosen and they have chosen to give their babies life. They are beautiful, strong women and it is my great privilege to come alongside them, to cheer them on and to support them in any way I can.
David has also been called upon to minister to women who are trying to live with the decision to end their baby’s life. At Whispering Hope, a wonderful unplanned pregnancy center, they do a group for women who chose abortion. These women are also God’s lovely daughters and Whispering Hope leads them through a process of healing that results in a memorial service, acknowledging the child who now lives in heaven. It is David’s honor to get to conduct this memorial service.
Being pro life is more than picketing abortion clinics, it is sharing Jesus’s love by loving like he loved. I can’t quite picture Jesus carrying a protest sign, but I can picture him reaching out in love. And right now today, we have the privilege of being vessels of His grace and mercy.
Let’s do all in our power to give every child a life worth living.
GENERATIONAL MINISTRY
Recently, we have had the privilege of doing ministry with some of our grandchildren. It is no secret that the generations following ours are much more computer and technology savvy than our generation, and we are wise enough to call on them when needed. Noah, Carson and Bailey come to our aid many times and Noah recently helped me put together a beautiful video of our EG moms for Mother’s Day. Would love to share it with you, but privacy issues prevent that.
On a different note, Mackenzie and Lynlee love ministering to our Embrace Grace moms and babies personally, and I really couldn’t manage without them. I have permission to use their pictures.
