The Green Sox are champs once again at the 8th annual Chaminade Alumni Softball Tournament on September 14, 2019. With a record high of 15 teams (approximately 180 players), this tournament was by far the largest since its inception back in 2012. Although the Green Sox came out victorious, notable mentions go to the Tokyo Giants (full team of '75 grads), Class of '83 (full team of '83 grads), and Nonno's Softballs (full team of '15 grads). The Tokyo Giants donated an extra $300 to the CCAA on top of their $450 team fee for the tournament. Even the Chaminade Teachers fielded a team so they could battle the men they once taught. In total, this tournament helped raise $2400 for the CCAA, which will go back into the school in the form of grants, scholarships, and school improvements. It was great to see all the smiles and laughter amongst brothers who still bleed green and gold. The brotherhood lives on. Fortes in Fide.
