Diagnostic Neurodevelopmental Pathway Programme

On the 4th May, Jane presented at the Diagnostic Neurodevelopmental Pathway Programme Sussex ICB, despite being ill, about symptomatic hypermobility and possible ways forward. Lots of great feedback.

SEDSConnective were also invited to sit on the Roundtable for communities health care for the academic health science network, following on from our input and our member's input last year.

So important for best outcomes !

We have recently completed our first face-to-face Pilates series with The Pilates Company in Goring. We have had such fantastic reviews from our members who took part, and are delighted to be running a second series for them now too.

SEDSConnective Patron - Dr J Eccles - E4 Documentary

Dr Jessica Eccles, our Patron is featured in a new documentary on ADHD diagnosis. It follows Made in Chelsea star Sam Thomson as hetries to discover more about the condition in the hope of understanding how it impacts personal relationships and how ADHD is managed.

We Need Your Help - Research Participants Needed

Several organisations are looking for volunteers and people to help with studies and research projects.

Can you help?

• Time4Autism are looking for families living in Brighton & Sussex for their next programme on pathways for 9-16 year olds, with Jane Green as policy lead. Find out more here

   

• Dr J Eccles & BSMS are looking for people with disabling fatigue or a fatiguing condition to take part in research into flotation therapy. Find out more here

   

• Bethany Donaghy (SEDSConnective Pain Advisor) is looking for children aged 11-16 with a formal or suspected autism diagnosis to help with a PhD Study on pain. Find out more here

   

• Durham University need a few more autistic or self identified autistic adults (Age 45+) to take part in a survey. Find out more here

Hello June!

We have a busy month ahead... not least it's our 5th Birthday!

We also have lots of advocacy and of course, it's Volunteers Week - June 1st - 7th.

On 21st June Jane is talking at the National SEND Conference in London on Mental Health in Schools, with the Education Minister. She will be presenting on how Symptomatic Hypermobility impacts Mental Health in Education. Key Work!

June is also Lipoedema Awareness Month.

Jane is presenting for talklipoedema on 26th at 7:30pm.
