Feature ArticleBuilding a Strong Foundation"The Power of Intrinsic Values" Intrinsic values, morals, character, and values are all fundamental to your personal and professional life. These guiding principles influence your behavior, choices, and interactions with the world around you. Intrinsic values are beliefs and principles that hold importance to you, regardless of external rewards or recognition. They reflect what truly matters to you and shape your decision-making process. Morals, on the other hand, are your principles of right and wrong that guide your behavior. Your moral compass is shaped by your values, beliefs, and experiences, and is a reflection of your ethical framework. By adhering to strong morals, you can establish trust, credibility, and respect among colleagues, employees, and customers. Character is the combination of your personality, behavior, and traits that make you unique. It defines how you show up in the world, your communication style, and your ability to work collaboratively with others. Having a strong character requires self-awareness, honesty, and accountability for your actions. Values are the beliefs and attitudes that hold significance in your life, and reflect what you prioritize. For instance, family, career, personal growth, or relationships. By aligning your values with your personal and professional goals, you can create a sense of purpose and direction in your life and work. In entrepreneurship, intrinsic values, morals, character, and values are essential for building a successful and sustainable business. A strong ethical framework not only ensures that you make sound business decisions, but also cultivates a positive corporate culture. This, in turn, attracts employees and customers who share your values and creates a sense of unity and purpose within your organization. Strategic planning is also crucial to the success of any business. It involves setting goals, creating a roadmap, and executing plans that align with your company's values and vision. This requires effective communication, collaboration, and adaptability, as well as a willingness to learn and grow. Team building is another critical component of business success. By creating a team that shares your values, you can build a positive work culture that fosters collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Investing in your team's personal development also leads to better customer experiences and higher employee satisfaction. In conclusion, intrinsic values, morals, character, and values are essential for living a fulfilling and meaningful life and building a successful and sustainable business. By prioritizing these principles, you can establish a strong ethical framework, create a positive corporate culture, and achieve personal and professional success. So, take a moment to reflect on your own intrinsic values, morals, character, and values. Consider how you could integrate these principles more intentionally into your personal and professional lives, and start making positive changes today. Remember, success is not just about what you achieve, but also about who you become in the process. |

Monthly HackThe Ultimate Trifecta"Moving Your Mind, Body, and Spirit to Achieve Peak Performance" Start each day with your mind, body, and spirit intact. Think of this as the ultimate trifecta, as it is essential to being your best self in and out of the office, wherever that may be. Wondering what I do to start my day right? It’s as easy as 1-2-3! (1) Mind: Write in my journal. It’s nothing fancy, just a lined leather deal from Amazon for $20, but I love it! I use it to plan my day, reflect on what matters most and set an intention for my future. (2) Body: Get my body moving. If I’m feeling great, then I hit the pool for some lap swimming. If a friend is free, I meet at a nature trail for a little walk and talk. If I’m just not sure how good my body feels, then I go the gym and just see what I feel like when I get there. (3) Spirit: Meditate with purpose. I pick my setting, whether my back patio or balcony or by water (my favorite element). Then just breathe. Say a mantra (personal affirmation, biblical grounding, etc.), Listen to music in a sauna. Practice restorative yoga. Do what lifts my spirit in the way it’s needed on that particular day. So if you are tuned in, you can see I practice my mind, body, spirit approach with the kindness to myself to have flexibility in the how. After all, my goal is to simply ensure that I care for myself in a way that I am my most important priority, because only then can I offer others in my life (including all of you) my greatest gifts. |
