Hello Hooker members!

My name is Linda Bohacek and I bring greetings from the north woods in New Auburn, Wisconsin.  While my husband, Bo, and I are residents of Florida, we come back to the Midwest mid-June through Oct. 1st to visit with our son and daughter, their spouses, and 7 grand babies.  We live on Island Lake and our home provides a great meeting place for everyone. Tubing, skiing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming, board games, crafts, and of course, bonfires with S’mores are the main events while the family visits.

I am thankful to be able to continue to keep connected with Hooker

events via zoom and face time.

Currently I am serving my first year as Director.  I have been a Hooker for 6 years and enjoy volunteering at as many of the events that I can.  I currently am chair of the silent auction for the Island Luau, chair of merchandise, and chair of the beverages for the P.I.E. Derby.  It is wonderful to be back and being part of the in-person events once again.

I have met so many great ladies as a member of the Matlacha Hookers and hope to meet and volunteer with the new members, as well. Can’t wait to see you all again in person and looking forward to another year on the Board of Directors.  As a director, our role is to be the liaison between you the member and the Board.  If you have any questions or issues feel free to contact me or any of the other Board members.

If you are interested in being a part of the elections committee this fall please reach out to Vice Madam Julia at 239-298-1113 or by email at 12thmadam.julia@gmail.com

MangoMania and Yucatan Dock Party

Thank you and thank you again!  The Matlacha Hookers were well represented with plenty of volunteers for both events.  And typical to July in SW Florida, we had brief 'Sun Showers' that interrupted both events luckily for just a bit.  We'll be sharing the outcome in the near future.

Stepping up and volunteering is what we do when we're at our finest.  That's how we continue to Make a Positive Difference in Our Community!!
