Hello all you wondrous subscribers and welcome to my March newsletter. I experimented by sharing my first reel on Instagram, deciding to post up a short video about my new sewing studio-to-be in our holiday home in Wales. It is a lovely attic room but the walls and ceiling are in poor condition so need to be replaced. My husband started the job of stripping it out, creating a pretty dramatic before and after scene!

I completed the 8 week course with Lynda Maynard to sew up the Sienna Maker Jacket by Closet Core Patterns, but still have the final hemming and topstitching to do. Days after that course ended, I went on The Classic Blazer workshop with Claire Tyler, choosing the Heather Blazer by The Friday Pattern Company with a relaxed fit. Having loved the lined pockets on my Sienna Jacket, I did the same on the Heather Blazer, but decided to hand-stitch them instead for a different effect. You can read more about them in my blog post. Once the blazer is finished, I will publish a full review.
I also published a review on the course itself including accommodation and dining in case anyone is thinking of booking one up. It was a fantastic course and is set in a beautiful part of England. I enjoyed it so much that I have booked up another in September to sew a winter coat.
